HABITS
I've recently acquired a habit I hate. I've been staying up super late....ruining my chance of rising happily with the sun.
Sure- sleeping in isn't so bad- it's the fact that my husband is asleep long before I am that bothers me...
Right now: I'm laying in bed with my mac book occasionally taking a picture of him sleeping using photobooth. (poor guy)
I've also noticed I dropped some good habits... i.e.
-working out regularly
-Putting on lotion before bed
-giving myself facials
-keeping my nails nice
do these sound vein? I've just been realizing I haven't been taking as much care of myself...gotta cut that out! :)
You want to know what lotion I use? I will tell you- I recommend it to EVERYONE- I've tried every kind of lotion there is and the best one for smooth soft skin is

It's AWESOME! & no- I don't work for curel. haha I just love sharing the stuff that worth getting. (PS- I only endorse the one with the RED ribbon...I can't speak for the others)
Anyway...it's midnight. I'm going to close my eyes and try to break this bad habit....

I should've started when I turned 26
but I didn't...so the list has only 14 things instead of 27...purely because of the fact that I'm running out of time!
This was literally off the top of my head...I'm sure you have better ideas for thing sI could do and I'm sure I'll come up with better things as I actually think about it...but for now- this is where I stand....where to start?!

You again
It's Monday- so lots of work to do... and just a minute to procrastinate before I jump into a long list of to-do's!
This week we are kicking off our girls ministry. I have new "umph" for it! We had out leadership class yesterday and the youth pastor (who has been a friend for many years) casually handed me the reigns- FULLY- for the first time. It was no big deal to anyone I'm sure- but can I tell you what a dork am? I starting crying during his closing prayer...
My heart feels like it's going to explode when I think of these girls...I want ALL the best for them- I have so many things I want to teach them...and so many ideas for how to do that and not enough ideas for how to implement it! AAAHH!!!
Semi-change of subject:
Have you heard Lisa Bevere? She's incredible! I love her- because I've never been one of those woman speakers who has the naturally gentle tone when I'm speaking- as if I were whispering with a huge smile on my face. She just speaks from her heart and is who she is and is so refreshing. (PS- I'm not knocking those women who speak like that- I used to wish I was one! haha) Anyway, I've been reading one of her books called "NURTURE: give and get what you need to flourish" I'm in love! It's all about women reconnecting and how we all need eachother etc...it's sounds cheesy but if we grasped it the world would be an incredible place.
Anyway, that's alot of rambling! Time to get back to work....Meanwhile- My favorite pic right now

This is Abi. She's one of our students and she's GREAT...I'm pretty sure she doesn't know how great she is...but she is :) I love looking at her pictures- because I like her perspective. I want to use her for a campaign for the girls ministry. (we'll see)
HAPPY MONDAY!!!!

Oops....
I checked out for a while there...
While I was gone....Bobby and I experienced our first trip away from eachother...
I thought having the bed to myself would be so liberating (because he's a bit of a bed hog) but I was wrong- I missed him terribly and couldn't sleep. I spent a good portion of my first night alone- learning editing on picnik
(me being bored at 2AM)
(my newest niece...sweet Sarai)
& many more but I will spare you :)
In the meantime- because Bobby's truck broke down & I was too nervous to take mine alone: I didn't get to go to St. Augustine while he was gone, so I missed this:
How precious is she?! Another niece: sweet Sienna...I miss her!
I even bought her one of those echo microphones...like the one her mom loved when we were little! Can you tell I'm still bummed?
Then a week of work went by...which I don't have anything in particular to say about so I'll move on.
We had Deluge come do a worship night to promo there new album last night....I could've stayed in that sanctuary all night....so good!
Today, Bobby and I got to go to lunch with some good friends of ours and then we were really...I mean REALLY bad friends and missed my friend's wedding because we were so desperate for some time together and so not ready in time- that we ended up missing her wedding and spent the evening making up some new hobbies to try. (but I admit I did love it!- Just sad I didn't get to see Abby walk down the isle!)
Oh- last night I found myself out to eat with a bunch of (wonderful) new faces and got into a convo about beauty tips and skin care etc. I have to confess I'm a bit of a product JUNKY and I try just about everything that comes out! A GOOD FRIEND of mine who was at the table suggested that I start blogging all this random advice I have from growing up with 5 other sisters and reviews from all the products I try (good idea?)
...so I'll throw one out there:
...so I'll throw one out there:
You know that oily t-zone you get in the summer? those pores that are bigger than you'd like? that acne you get in the same spot over and over? those little black spots? (you get the picture)
Buy a CLAY mask! & no I'M not talking about a fancy one! The one I use and reccomend- and works awesome is 2-3 dollars at walmart!
It can be a little drying if you have drier skin and use it all over- but I just focus on the t-zone. TRY IT! At that price- how could you go wrong?! It basically sucks all that excess oil right out and for deeper cleaning: steam your face first. You'll thank me later! ;)
Anyway, that about wraps it up for now. Hope you've had a great week and are enjoying the weekend!

Weekend Trippin'
So, bobby is going out of town this weekend for a men's retreat at the ramp so I decided I was going to visit these beauties...
and this lovely birthday girl...
along with her brother and two adorable sisters who I don't have current pictures of.
I was about 30 minutes into the trip when bobby's truck came coasting to a stop....
without warning. True story. I had to sit and wait for help....
Fortunately, my in-laws were able to come rescue me. My father in law used to be a mechanic. (He's a GENIUS in my eyes!) Turns out it was the fuel pump. We abandoned the truck (for later) and they brought me home. This will be the first time bobby and I have been apart for a trip and I won't even get to spend it in beautiful St. Augustine! Oh well....my plan is to rent a bunch of girly movies for the evenings and to lay by the pool all day for the next couple days.
I'll let you know how it goes....
Happy almost FRIDAY!!!!
